Itinerary Corsica Nothwest coast Ajaccio - Baie d Acciolu
Day 1: Ajaccio
Check-in. Dinner and overnight in the marina.
Day 2: Sanguinaires - Cargèse
Day 3: Cargèse - Creeks of Piana - Girolata
Departure to the Creeks of Piana (Navigation 1:30), one of the most exceptional sites of Corsica. They offer a panorama of breathtaking beauty in the Gulf of Porto. In the evening you are going to stop at Girolata, (1:30 sailing), with its eucalyptus, its Genoese fortress, the bay with turquoise waters, its houses and its jagged mountain environment. Girolata is protected in particular by the absence of roads. The village can be visited only by boat or by a walkway that connects the GR20. Dinner and overnight in port.
Day 4: Girolata - Scandola Reserve - Galeria - Calvi
Discover the Scandola Reserve (navigation 2h). The World Heritage Site by UNESCO is part of the Marine Nature Reserve in France. This sanctuary for fauna and flora is almost inaccessible, can only be approached from the sea and is home to many sea birds and endemic plants. You can swim leisurely on the edge of the reserve to the north before lunch in Marinad'Elbo in idyllic surroundings or Galeria, a small fishing port. In the evening you will be at Calvi (2:30 sailing), at the northwestern end of the island, in a beautiful environment.Overnight at the anchor.
Day 5: Calvi - Ile Rousse - Acciolu or Saleccia (the Agriates)
Today, the skipper will take you to Ile Rousse (Navigation 1:30). You discover the north-west of the island.
Resorts and its many beaches along the maze of mountains and small villages on the headlands invite you to visit. You finish the day in the Bay Acciolu (navigation 1h30), the desert Agriates. The immensity of the peaks, valleys, rocky peaks overlooking the sea, and Cap Corse or Saleccia beach with clear water and long strip of white sand. Overnight at anchor.
Day 6: The Agriates - Revellata - Palo (Capo Rosso)
Sail to Revellata (navigation 3h), land south of Calvi, it offers a taste of typical Balagne. Here you will find many streams and hiking trails. Enjoy this delicious water, or take a pleasant stroll through the neighborhood. Then stop in Palo south of Capo Rosso (3:30Navigation) on the World Heritage Site, where before the Genoese tower overlooks Turghiu. Overnight at anchor.
Day 7: Palo - Figuera - Ajaccio
You are in Figuera (Navigation 2:30) south of the Gulf of Sagone, where you can enjoy long white beaches.
By late afternoon, you will be sailing to Corsica. Dinner and overnight in the marina. Take the opportunity to visit the lovely old town.
Day 8: Ajaccio
Before noon, check-out.
