Sailing yacht cruise Greece: Saronic Gulf on Hanse 540e

Sailing yacht cruise in Greece from Alimos

• Full board included
• Departure day: Saturday

Regular route:

• 6 nights (Alimos – Agistri – Poros – Hydra – Spetses – Aegina – Alimos)
/>Route subject to change due to wind, weather, official regulations, etc.

Immerse yourself in an unforgettable adventure and sail aboard the YANNIS65S through the crystal-clear waters of the Saronic Gulf. This exclusive cruise takes you to enchanting islands, hidden coves and paradise beaches, far away from the traditional tourist routes. Aegina, Poros, Spetses, Hydra and Agkistri are the islands that make up this charming archipelago, less known to mass tourism and located just a few kilometres from Athens on the east coast.

Your ship:

You will sail aboard a beautiful 54-foot sailing ship that offers comfort and stability.

Everything is prepared to welcome a maximum of 10 guests on board. Your crew consists of 2 people. The hostess also takes care of setting and clearing the table before and after meals.

Each guest cabin has an en-suite bathroom (shower/WC).

On-board catering:

Meals are taken together.

The menus vary depending on what is available at the local markets,

or what the fishing has brought in.

The skipper has a lot of experience in the sea area to be navigated and, of course, knows your ship very well.

He will point out sights of interest, introduce you to the country and its people, and show you the most beautiful swimming and snorkeling spots.

Your vessel has a saloon (“living room”) with an integrated kitchen area and a large cockpit

protected from the wind and strong sunlight. This is where most of your life on board will take place.

Your cabin

Your ship has double guest cabins with toilets/showers and washbasins.

Please note, however, that water on board must be used sparingly. Supplies are sufficient to allow each passenger two short showers per day.

Luggage:

The yachts are comfortable, but space in the cabins is limited.

We therefore recommend leaving hard suitcases at home and using travel bags instead.

These are much easier to stow away.

Tips and hints:

As flights usually arrive in the late afternoon or evening, departure is always the following morning.

The first evening is intended for guests to get to know each other and “acclimatize.”

Please bear in mind that guests arrive on different flights and may therefore board at different times.

However, we cannot be held responsible if participants arrive late due to flight delays or cancellations.

For an additional charge, you are welcome to take advantage of this offer privately, with only your friends, acquaintances, or family, in which case no other guests will be booked. For more information, please contact your tour operator.

Important information about sailing cruises:

You must carry a valid passport with you in order to clear customs on the individual islands. (Travelers who are not EU citizens should contact us.)

Even if your skin is used to the sun, please note that the sun's rays are more intense on board a sailing ship than on land. You will mostly be surrounded by a sea breeze, and when the wind is pleasant, you often don't notice the strong sun rays until it's too late.

It is therefore all the more important to be aware that you can easily get sunburn or even sunstroke if you don't protect yourself adequately. A sun hat that won't blow off your head at the first gust of wind is also important. Don't forget your sunglasses, which are best secured around your neck with a strap. A sweatshirt is also advisable, or a long-sleeved shirt and long pants. For the first few days, you should use sunscreen with a high sun protection factor.

If you need to take medication: remember to bring enough with you from home, as it will be difficult to obtain comparable medication on the islands.

Seasickness: The skipper will always try to sail in calm waters. However, the nature of sailing means that there will be waves from time to time. If you are prone to seasickness, you can ask your pharmacist for advice on what medication you can bring with you and take if necessary.

Safety regulations:

It is strictly forbidden to bring weapons and drugs on board.

Please note that the ship may cross various national borders and that the water police occasionally search sailing ships as part of their fight against drugs. The skipper also has the right at any time to expel persons from the ship who do not respect national regulations, carry drugs or weapons, disrupt life on board in any way, or endanger the ship, guests, or crew in any way.

The skipper is also instructed to immediately inform the relevant authorities in such cases. In such a case, or if the guest themselves wishes to leave the ship, no refund of the travel price will be made, and there is no entitlement to reimbursement of travel expenses.

Climate

The Saronic Gulf has a Mediterranean climate, which means that summers are hot, with temperatures reaching up to 38°C and little rain. The water temperature is between 20° and 25°.
